Portersville - Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, founded in 1952, strives to protect life and property through our focus on safety, efficiency, and knowledge.
At PVFD, our members respond to a variety of emergencies. With Moraine State Park and a portion of Interstate 79 in our first due coverage area, we provide a wide range of response to those in need including fire suppression and vehicle and technical rescues.
Our active membership maintains efficiency and proficiency through certification trainings and weekly drill nights, as well as participating in our annual Lemon Shake Stand fundraiser and other activities throughout the year.
We are 100% volunteer with trained individuals ready to respond at a moment's notice on holidays, weekends, and every day in between: rain or shine.
